Founded in Luxembourg in 1984, Solar Screen handles smart film shipments for offices, commercial buildings, automotive glass, and more. From their main hub, they send around 750 rolls of film per day to local and international customers.
As volumes increased and customer expectations rose, the team needed an easier, faster, and more reliable way to manage deliveries across four carriers, without juggling multiple systems or interfaces.
Solution delivered in partnership with Cadran Consultancy
Cadran Consultancy is an ERP specialist for wholesale, distribution, and manufacturing companies. Cadran developed a full integration between Transsmart and NetSuite ERP, enabling NetSuite users to easily connect their webshop, ERP and WMS to all their carriers.
Solar Screen has always prioritized exceptional service and same-day shipments for every order placed before noon. But managing four separate carriers through four separate interfaces created unnecessary complexity. Shipment status, tracking and cost data all lived in separate systems, and warehouse operators had to manually switch between interfaces and carrier workflows.
They needed a way to handle all carriers through one system, streamline exceptions, and keep customers informed with accurate, unified status updates.
Solar Screen selected nShift Transsmart together with their ERP, NetSuite, to unify their carrier workflows under a single interface. The new setup enables warehouse operators to manage all carriers in the same platform and allows customer service to access all shipment details directly through NetSuite.
The reasons for choosing this solution were clear, as their previous provider lacked the integration depth they needed:
But above all, ease of implementation and support were decisive. And this is where Cadran Consultancy, as implementation partner, played a key role.
For Solar Screen, the impact of nShift has been transformative across the entire delivery operation.
One of the first major improvements came in the way Solar Screen can now bring new carriers into its ecosystem. Previously a slow and fragmented exercise, onboarding has become significantly faster and far less manual.
This consolidation into a single interface also helped Solar Screen strengthen the quality and consistency of its internal data. With nShift feeding tracking and cost information directly into NetSuite, the team can manage transport in a more organised way and customers get clearer visibility of their shipments. The ERP now acts as a reliable hub for all the information that previously lived in multiple places.
Inside the warehouse, everyday work has become easier and more efficient. Before nShift, operators could each manage only a limited number of carriers at once because workflow steps varied from carrier to carrier. With all carriers now running through one consistent interface, operators can support any shipment, which gives the team far more flexibility during busy periods.
Beyond the measurable gains, there is also the human and usability side of the platform. The team did not need heavy training or complex ramp-up time. Instead, nShift quickly became part of the natural flow of the day, fitting cleanly into their existing processes. Its simplicity and structure helped Solar Screen maintain momentum as the new system rolled out.
