nShift, the global leader in delivery management software, has entered into a collaboration with foodora, the most popular platform for restaurant food delivery in the Nordics.
The collaboration signals nShift’s move into the quick commerce - or Q-commerce – segment. It will enable foodora to expand its offerings, becoming a viable delivery alternative for customers ordering online from retailers, pharmacies and more. Consumers will be able to access instant delivery in as little as 30 minutes, from morning until night.
nShift’s delivery management solutions will make foodora’s delivery services, which promise “delivery within an hour of ecom order”, available to online stores in the Nordic markets including Finland, Norway, and Sweden. nShift’s Checkout solution alone was used for approximately 22 million ecommerce orders in 2021, and the numbers are growing rapidly. A considerable proportion of online stores in the region are already using delivery management systems developed by nShift. This collaboration between two of the leading operators in their own markets has the potential to revolutionise traditional digital commerce deliveries across the Nordics.
Joonas Kuronen, managing director Finland, of foodora said: “People who shop online expect deliveries on their own terms. In many cases, they don’t want to wait – they want the fastest delivery possible. I’m excited that, by collaborating with nShift, we’re able to meet these expectations. We are a Nordic company that likes to innovate, and this allows us to expand our offerings to a wider market.”
Lars Pedersen, CEO of nShift, adds: “This is a true win-win collaboration. One which will benefit both foodora and nShift customers across the Nordics. Online stores using nShift’s delivery management systems will have the option to offer foodora’s fast delivery services to their customers, while those customers will be able to enjoy instant delivery of anything they order from those stores.”
