Founded in 1981, VITA operates 117 stores across Norway and sells more than 12,000 products online. As Norwegian shoppers increasingly expect speed and choice in delivery, VITA set out to reimagine its checkout experience. The company wanted a setup that brought instant clarity to customers, automated warehouse processing and aligned delivery promises with what carriers could actually support.
Norway has the most speed-sensitive online shoppers in the Nordics, with customers willing to pay more for fast delivery. To stay competitive, VITA needed to offer:
Their existing e-commerce setup did not connect checkout, payments, warehouse and delivery logic into one flow, making it harder to automate, scale or meet an ambitious delivery promise.
VITA rebuilt its checkout and delivery logic using nShift’s delivery and experience management platform, combined with Avensia Nitro’s address management and Adyen’s payments solution.
The platform now connects VITA’s e-commerce site directly with its warehouse and carriers so new orders are processed quickly and reliably. Delivery managers can monitor each shipment, verify that delivery promises are met and adjust carrier options based on performance or customer needs.
The setup also enables VITA to easily add new delivery methods, from click-and-collect and out-of-home to express options, and present these clearly at checkout.
