New nShift Checkout enables personalized deliveries

Updated nShift Checkout solution enables personalized delivery options and increased conversion rates.

nShift, the global leader in delivery and experience management (DMXM), today announces significant upgrades to its Checkout solution, to help retailers improve customer conversion rates with a personalized delivery experience.

Some 43% of shoppers abandon their baskets because of delivery concerns.[1] The upgraded Checkout solution enables retailers to A/B test different delivery option configurations, helping them identify which drive the highest basket conversions.

New nShift Checkout additionally features:

  • An enhanced rules engine which makes it easier to tailor delivery options to different customers
  • Support for multiple checkouts across different webshop brands
  • Improved support for out of home (OOH) deliveries, including 1m+ PUDO (pick up / drop off) locations and click-and-collect from retailers’ own stores, increasing up sell opportunities
  • New, intuitive user interface and enterprise-level scalability

nShift Checkout already enables retailers to reveal a range of delivery options in the design of their web shop, including click-and-collect, OOH, and zero-emissions deliveries. Businesses can add badges to the shipping options to help customers quickly scan the page and make their choice. For example, they could add a green leaf to a lower-emissions option or a lightning bolt next to an express delivery.

Sean Sherwin-Smith, Product Director, Post Purchase at nShift said: “The same customers often prefer to receive different purchases in different ways. It is retailers’ job to understand and cater for these preferences. By A/B testing different choices at Checkout, retailers can set sophisticated rules to build a personalized experience from the homepage to the doorstep.”

nShift Checkout is one example of how nShift’s suite of DMXM solutions fit together to turn deliveries from a world of boxes to a world of opportunities. By combining customer-facing applications, such as Checkout, with enterprise-class delivery management and a library of 1000+ carriers, nShift enables retailers to offer outstanding customer experiences and increase operational efficiency.

Customers using nShift Checkout have seen up to 25% increase in conversion rates and a 28% increase in order values.

The new nShift Checkout is available from July.
