Founded in 1993, Pikkuvihreä is a Finnish pioneer in eco-friendly waterless toilet systems and composting solutions for homes, parks, and campsites.
As their product range expanded to include everything from compact indoor units to large outhouse models, logistics grew increasingly complex and costly. The team needed a way to match the right transport method to every product automatically.
Challenge
Before implementing nShift Checkout, Pikkuvihreä’s e-commerce team faced a recurring issue:
large, pallet-sized products could not be handled properly through their online checkout, forcing staff to manage shipping manually.
The smallest products we have fit in an envelope while the biggest products, such as our outhouses, require a pallet. When customers buy both, which they often do, our old system would struggle to find a sensible transportation solution. As a result, we were missing out on 50 to 100 big orders every year.
