How to enable nShift Insurance in four simple steps

Step 1

Navigate to New Bookings

In your nShift Ship Solution, go to Ship > New to create a new shipment and fill in the shipment information.

Step 2

Select If Insurance

Click on If Insurance in the Additional Info section

Step 3

Complete Details

Fill in Amount, Contents, and Email, and select the correct currency. The premium is automatically calculated based on the insurance amount

Step 4

Review & Accept Terms

You will be asked to accept the insurance terms when you click the Print button to submit the shipment. Click Yes to proceed and print the label

Step 5

Done

Once enabled, the shipment will automatically be covered for theft, loss, and damage in transit.

How to make a claim

  • Step 1 
    Log in to nShift Portal and find the shipment. You can search using the shipment or package number.
  • Step 2
    Open the shipment and click the Claim Insurance link in the top right corner.
  • Step 3
    Fill in the insurance claim form
  • Step 4
    The compensation will be transferred to your account within a few days
Time savings are based on average resolution times (i.e. the duration from initial filing to completed payment) for all XCover shipping protection claims as at May 31, 2022 (sample size = 868) compared with the industry average time including payment settlement (min. 6 days) and period to acknowledge a filed claim.
