nShift Emissions Tracker validated against ISO 14083 and Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) frameworks

nShift, a global leader in delivery and experience management, today announced that nShift Emissions Tracker has achieved the prestigious Smart Freight Centre (SFC) Certification. This milestone validates nShift’s logistics emissions calculation methodology against the ISO 14083 standard and the Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) Framework.

The SFC validation means customers can confidently include emissions data produced by Emissions Tracker in sustainability disclosures and annual reports.  As a result, customers can improve their regulatory compliance while accelerating progress toward emissions-reduction targets.

The system used for calculations has been assessed by Smart Freight Centre and is generally suited to deliver results aligned with ISO 14083 and the GLEC Framework.

The SFC certification offers independent assurance that nShift delivers credible, standardized CO₂e (carbon dioxide equivalent) calculations for emissions from inbound and outbound transport. Transportation accounts for a large proportion of many businesses’ greenhouse gas emissions. nShift Emissions Tracker provides logistics teams with trustworthy, auditable emissions data, which businesses can easily incorporate into sustainability disclosures and annual reports.

Unlike bolt-on sustainability software, nShift Emissions Tracker is fully integrated into the nShift Delivery Platform. This allows for automated carbon accounting for every shipment booked through nShift - eliminating the need for complex manual integrations and simplifying sustainability reporting workflows.

Achieving SFC Certification is an important milestone for nShift and for our customers. It means businesses can rely on emissions data generated through our platform for formal reporting. Our goal is to make sustainability measurable, practical, and built into everyday logistics operations.

Through this certification, nShift will be listed among Smart Freight Centre’s certified partners. The move reinforces nShift’s commitment to transparent, standardized emissions reporting, and its support for the wider logistics ecosystem’s transition toward lower-carbon operations.

The SFC Certification program is designed to set a global benchmark for logistics emissions calculations and reporting, ensuring certified tools deliver consistent, comparable, well-to-wheel CO₂e metrics.
