Live webinar · Solved episode 6
Thursday 5 November · 12pm GMT / 1pm CET · 30 mins · Live on Zoom
Peak season needs changes when your online store is hardest to update, whether that's a formal code freeze or simply no developer time to spare in November. Meanwhile: your shipments more than double on Black Friday, carriers get stretched, and every system has to deliver at full volume and protect your margin, from November spikes to January returns.
In this 30-minute session, follow a Black Friday order through our new demo store and see how to make those changes yourself in nShift, saving time and profits without editing any webshop code:
Solved is nShift’s monthly 30-minute live series on delivery challenges and how to fix them. Expert-led, practical, and designed for busy teams.
If you have followed Solved this year, you have met Weather Warriors, our fictional outdoor retailer. It now has a full working store, and we'll use it to demo a Black Friday order:
1. At checkout
A shopper buys a Christmas gift under a Black Week delivery offer that switched itself on by date. When a carrier struggles, pause its delivery method in the checkout settings, with no release.
2. On the way
Follow the label, the handover to the carrier and the tracking. Then set the delay alerts for the Black Friday weekend: choose which days they check for missing scans.
3. Back in January
Build a holiday returns policy in the Returns Rule engine: a longer window for gifts and free returns on larger baskets. Then return the same order under the new terms.
