Imerco is Denmark’s leading retailer of kitchenware and home accessories, with a nationwide store network and a fast-growing ecommerce business. Many of its products require careful handling, and demand spikes sharply during the holiday season, creating pressure on warehouse workflows and delivery accuracy. After investing in a next-generation AutoStore robotic warehouse, Imerco needed a delivery system that could match its operational sophistication and adapt instantly to extreme seasonal peaks.

Challenge

To maintain its strong omnichannel performance, Imerco must ship large volumes of sensitive and high-value goods reliably to 165 stores as well as to end consumers. These goods vary in size, fragility and delivery requirements, making carrier choice, routing and documentation complex even during normal demand.

During peak season, orders can increase by as much as 240%. Scaling manually was difficult, and even with AutoStore in place, the delivery process needed to flex its capacity just as quickly. Imerco required a delivery management platform that could integrate with its warehouse automation, provide reliable carrier coverage and scale without compromising accuracy.

During seasonal peaks, the warehouse adds 20 additional packing stations. nShift Ship scales accordingly, ensuring rapid and accurate label and document printing, even as volumes surge.
