How nShift’s delivery management helped drive the European expansion of JD Logistics
When it comes to delivery management, JD Logistics, (also known as JINGDONG Logistics across Europe) is rapidly becoming one of the most influential ecommerce logistics service providers in Europe.
JD Logistics is a global provider of technology-driven supply chain and logistics services. It was founded as a dedicated business group of JD.com - one of the world’s largest retailers - in April 2017.

The Challenge
Originally from China, the company was looking to expand into Europe in order to better serve its existing customers in the region and acquire new ones. It’s because of this that, in 2021, the company kicked off a global expansion drive and established its first European base in Frankfurt Germany.
As of today, JD Logistics has multiple warehouses across Europe serving some of the region's most well-known brands. One of its first and most influential customers was Hunkemöller, the online lingerie specialist. Hunkemöller is a long-standing customer of nShift and uses Returns to improve the delivery experience for customers. It was this relationship that marked the moment for JD Logistics and nShift to begin working together in 2022.
Hunkemoller used - and was a huge advocate - of nShift. It wanted us to align with its established systems to effectively carry out fulfillment on its behalf. This is how we were introduced to nShift and, after seeing its impact, began to adopt it across the wider business.

The Solution
Today, JD Logistics uses nShift for 3PL across Europe. This involves tracking shipments, managing delivery performance and integrating with multiple carriers so as to work with the preferred carrier in each country. This access to nShift’s carrier library was the catalyst for growth across Europe and one of the key drivers behind the speed of expansion of JD Logistics.
As explained by Jia, “Through nShift we integrated with multiple carriers very quickly which saved a huge amount of time and effort. It also enabled us to acquire new customers and start new projects fast, helping business growth a lot. For instance, this summer we integrated with two new carriers in Spain in June and signed a new customer in July.”

The Results
