For senders in Finland, Black Week was the busiest shipping week of the last two peak seasons, but it rose less above a regular week than in the other six countries in our data, and volume eased less after it than across the nShift platform. Cyber Monday also led Black Friday by a wider margin in Finland than anywhere else we measured.
Our team at nShift follows peak season week by week in the shipments our customers book. The shape of peak, our Black Friday benchmark report, compares each week and day of the 2024 and 2025 peaks across the whole nShift platform with a regular week in early November. This post does the same for senders in Finland around Black Week (the Monday-to-Sunday week of Black Friday), alongside the other six countries in our data: Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the UK.
In our data, the Finnish peak differs from the platform's in its height and in its busiest days. A Finnish plan built on platform-wide patterns would add more than twice as much Black Week volume on top of a regular week as Finnish senders shipped, and would build Black Week around Friday, although Monday had more shipments in Finland.
Black Week rose the least of the seven countries
Shipments from Finland in Black Week reached 1.30 times a regular early-November week in both 2024 and 2025, the lowest of the seven countries. Across the whole platform, Black Week reached 1.72 and 1.74 times.
The week before Black Week was the quietest of the seven too, at 1.08 and 1.07 times a regular week.
For your 2026 plan: Black Week is 23 to 29 November 2026. Size its extra capacity from your own regular early-November week rather than from a platform-wide benchmark, and plan the week of 16 November a little above a regular week.
After Black Week, the busier of the next two weeks differed by season
Volume from Finland eased less after Black Week than volume across the platform did. Which of the two following weeks carried more differed between the seasons.
- 2024: the first week after Black Week reached 1.16 times a regular week and the second week 1.20. Finland was the only one of the seven countries where the second week after Black Week was busier than the first that season.
- 2025: the first week after reached 1.27 times, against 1.30 for Black Week itself, and the second week 1.10. No other country's first week after came as near its own Black Week.
The third week after, 14 to 20 December on the 2026 calendar, was 1.01 times a regular week in 2024 and 1.03 in 2025.
For the two weeks after: book extra capacity for 30 November to 13 December 2026 as one block, and agree with each carrier in advance how extra collections can move between the two weeks once you see which one is busier. Plan the week of 14 December near a regular week.
Monday was Black Week's biggest day, about a tenth above a regular Monday
Monday had 19.0% of Black Week's shipments from Finland in 2024 and 18.9% in 2025, more than any other day. Senders in Sweden, Norway, Belgium and the Netherlands also had Monday as their biggest Black Week day.
Against a regular early-November Monday, Black Week's Monday from Finland was 1.09 times as busy in 2024 and 1.11 times in 2025, the smallest rise of the seven countries.
For the Mondays: Black Week's Monday falls on 23 November 2026. Start its plan from your own regular Monday volume, and keep the larger share of your extra Monday capacity for Cyber Monday a week later.
Cyber Monday had about a third more shipments than Black Friday
Cyber Monday, the Monday after Black Friday, had 32% more shipments from Finland than Black Friday in 2024 and 31% more in 2025. That was the widest lead of the seven countries. Across the platform, Cyber Monday led by under a tenth.
131%
Cyber Monday against Black Friday, senders in Finland, 2025
132% in 2024. Cyber Monday was the busier day in both years.
108%
Cyber Monday against Black Friday, whole nShift platform, 2025
109% in 2024.
Set against a regular early-November Monday instead of Black Friday, Cyber Monday from Finland reached 1.29 times in 2024 and 1.32 times in 2025, the smallest rise of the seven on that measure.
On 30 November 2026: plan Cyber Monday as a bigger day than Black Friday, and confirm each carrier's collection capacity for that Monday early.
Finland beside the other Nordic markets
Based on what we're seeing across the Nordics, the weeks after Black Week kept more of its volume in Finland than in Sweden, Norway or Denmark.
- Sweden had the next-widest Cyber Monday lead after Finland, with 22% and 25% more shipments than Black Friday. Swedish Black Week reached 1.70 and 1.71 times a regular week, with the first week after at 1.50 and 1.51.
- Norway reached 1.74 and 1.79 times a regular week in Black Week. Norwegian volume then fell faster than Finnish volume, and by the third week after it was at or below a regular week (0.90 and 0.99), the lowest of the seven.
- Denmark, covered in our Black Week in Denmark post, had Black Friday as its biggest day, and Cyber Monday reached 92% and 97% of Black Friday's shipments. Danish Black Week rose to 1.85 and 1.82 times a regular week. Its step up from the week before was the biggest of the seven countries, and Finland's was the smallest.
- Across the whole platform, Friday was the biggest day of Black Week (17.9% and 17.8% of the week's shipments), and the first week after reached 1.44 and 1.47 times a regular week.
If you ship from several Nordic countries, plan the same dates for each, then set Black Week's extra capacity and how long it stays in place afterwards country by country.
What Finland's two seasons had in common
Black Week stood at the same level in both seasons, Monday was its biggest day, and Cyber Monday led Black Friday by about the same margin. About half of the season's extra shipments came after Black Week: 49% in 2024 and 52% in 2025, counting from the week before Black Week to the third week after. The split between the two weeks after Black Week differed.
Size each peak week from your records for both seasons, and compare how your two weeks after Black Week split in 2024 and in 2025 before you agree carrier terms.

Shipments booked on the nShift platform by senders in Finland, against a regular early-November week (1x) in the same year. 2024 and 2025 weeks are placed on the 2026 week in the same position around Black Friday.
Gather these before you book December capacity:
- your 2024 and 2025 weekly shipments against your own regular early-November week
- your Black Week Monday and Cyber Monday volumes against your regular Monday
- each carrier's terms for moving or ending extra collections in December, for each of your carriers in Finland
Several delivery and returns settings can still change without a developer, even during a code freeze.
What growth figures add to the week-by-week view
Our Nordic peak season review from December 2025 said Finland "stayed closer to the 'spike' model". It cited Prisjakt's figures on how many Finns planned to shop during Black Friday, and nShift shipping volumes that were up during Black Week and on Black Friday, with more modest movement across November. The review also wrote that Finland and Norway "still punish under-preparation for concentrated spikes around Black Week and Black Friday, plus the weeks immediately after." In our weekly figures, both weeks after Black Week were above a regular week in both seasons.
Prisjakt's figures and the review's growth figures help size demand for the season. To place that demand week by week, compare each week with a regular early-November week.

How we measured
The figures cover outbound shipments booked on the nShift platform by senders in Finland around Black Friday 2024 and 2025, counted on the day each shipment was booked, with identified returns excluded. A regular week is the average of the two early-November weeks in the same year: 4 to 17 November 2024 and 3 to 16 November 2025. The data describes nShift's senders in Finland, wherever their parcels were going, rather than the Finnish ecommerce market as a whole. The mix of senders can differ between years, so every multiple and share is calculated within the same year.
