For senders in Sweden, Monday was the busiest day of Black Week in each of the last two peak seasons, and Cyber Monday, the Monday after Black Week, beat Black Friday by more than a fifth both times.

Every shipment booked through nShift carries its booking date, so we can follow peak season one day at a time. The shape of peak, our Black Friday benchmark report, sets each day of the 2024 and 2025 peaks against a regular week in early November. This post applies the same measure to senders in Sweden around Black Week (the Monday-to-Sunday week of Black Friday), alongside the six other countries in our data: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway and the UK.

Across the whole nShift platform, Black Friday was the busiest day of Black Week. But a Swedish plan copied from platform-wide patterns would build Black Week around Black Friday and plan too little capacity for Cyber Monday and the week that opens on it.

Black Week's Monday and Tuesday both beat Black Friday

Monday had the largest share of Black Week's shipments from Sweden in both seasons, 18.1% in 2024 and 18.3% in 2025, with Tuesday next. Black Friday had 16.7% and 16.5%, level with Wednesday in 2025. Across the platform, Black Friday's share was about 18%.

Saturday was the quietest day of Black Week in both seasons, and Sunday had more shipments than Saturday both times.

Monday 18.3% (2024: 18.1%), Tuesday 16.9% (2024: 17.0%), Wednesday 16.5% (2024: 16.1%), Thursday 16.1% (2024: 15.5%), Friday 16.5% (2024: 16.7%), Saturday 6.8% (2024: 7.9%), Sunday 8.9% (2024: 8.8%). Saturday and Sunday together: 15.7% (2024: 16.7%).

For your 2026 plan: Black Week starts on Monday 23 November 2026. Have its extra shifts and collections in place from that Monday, and plan Black Friday, 27 November, at the level of the other weekdays. Check what your carriers collect on Sunday 29 November: whatever they leave waits for Monday's collection, alongside Cyber Monday's own shipments.

Cyber Monday beat every day of Black Week

Cyber Monday reached 122% of Black Friday's shipments from Sweden in 2024 and 125% in 2025.

It also beat Black Week's Monday. Cyber Monday had 1.49 and 1.54 times the shipments of a regular early-November Monday. Black Week's own Monday, its busiest day, had 1.32 and 1.36 times.

In practice: plan Cyber Monday, 30 November 2026, about an eighth above Black Week's Monday, and book its extra collections and shifts at the same time as Black Week's.

The week of Cyber Monday stayed close to Black Week's level

Shipments from Sweden stayed above a regular week for five weeks in both seasons, from the week before Black Week (1.16 and 1.21 times a regular week) to the third week after it. Black Week itself reached 1.70 and 1.71 times a regular week, close to the platform's level.

The first week after Black Week, which opens on Cyber Monday, reached 1.50 and 1.51 times a regular week, close to nine-tenths of Black Week's shipments. Across the platform, that week was at 1.44 and 1.47. Of the shipments above a regular week's level across those five weeks, half or more came after Black Week: 50% in 2024 and 53% in 2025.

After Black Week: keep Black Week's staffing and extra collections in place from 30 November to 6 December 2026, then step capacity down over the two weeks that follow.

Sweden next to Denmark, Norway and Finland

Of the seven countries in our data, Sweden had the smallest Black Friday share of Black Week in both seasons. Its Cyber Monday margin over Black Friday was the second largest in both seasons, after Finland's.

  • In Denmark, the busiest day of Black Week was Friday, and Cyber Monday stayed below Black Friday in both seasons. Its week after Black Week was close to Sweden's, at 1.48 and 1.50 times a regular week. A week later, Denmark was higher: its second week after Black Week reached 1.41 and 1.42, against Sweden's 1.27 and 1.31. If you ship from both countries, give each its own peak-day plan.
  • Norway had a slightly higher Black Week, at 1.74 and 1.79 times a regular week, and Monday was its busiest day too. Its Cyber Monday margin was smaller, at 14% and 15% over Black Friday. After Black Week, shipments from Norway dropped faster. The week after was at 1.38 and 1.44 times a regular week, and by the third week after, it was below a regular week in both seasons.
  • Finland had the only larger Cyber Monday margin, about a third over Black Friday (132% and 131%). Its peak was the flattest of the seven, with Black Week at 1.30 times a regular week in both seasons.

Outside the Nordics, Monday was also Black Week's busiest day in Belgium and the Netherlands. Across all seven countries, Friday led only in Denmark and the UK. The UK was also the one country with a busier week after Black Week than Sweden's in both seasons, at 1.69 and 1.61 times a regular week.

What repeated in both Swedish peaks?

Monday's lead in Black Week, Cyber Monday's margin over Black Friday and the five weeks above a regular week all repeated in both seasons. The third week after Black Week, 14 to 20 December in 2026, differed most between them: 1.10 times a regular week in 2024 and 1.21 times in 2025. Denmark's third week differed the same way, at 1.13 and 1.26. Set its capacity from your own records. Before peak starts, agree with each carrier what keeping extra capacity into that week costs, then decide on Monday 14 December from your open orders and the delivery dates you have promised.

Svea Bank's November sales figures and our shipment timing

Our Nordic peak season review from December 2025 cited Svea Bank figures for Sweden: ecommerce sales up 9% across November, while Black Week itself was down 6.5%. Svea Bank's figures describe how sales changed. Our data shows when senders in Sweden booked shipments through nShift, against a regular week in the same season, and in 2025 Black Week had more shipments than any other week of the peak.

How to combine them: size the season from your sales forecast, then place shifts and collections by the weekly pattern in your own 2025 shipment records.

How we measured

The figures cover outbound shipments booked on the nShift platform by senders in Sweden around Black Friday 2024 and 2025. Each shipment is counted on the day it was booked, and identified returns are excluded. A regular week is the average of the two early-November weeks in the same year: 4 to 17 November 2024 and 3 to 16 November 2025. The data describes nShift's senders in Sweden, wherever their parcels were going, rather than the Swedish ecommerce market as a whole. The mix of senders can change between years, so every multiple and share is calculated within the same year.
